The Principle of Most Action wins the SYPT 2026!

This year's tournament was held at ETH Zurich on March 7 and 8. After being reduced to teams of two last year, we were very happy to return to the full SYPT format with an increased number of participants again. Additionally, this was the first year the SYPT welcomed two guest teams from Slovakia.

The team from Basel called Principle of Most Action consisting of Mathis Banerjee, Szymon Domalewski, and Arnav Aditya won the tense Final Physics Fight, followed by Rachel Silveira Camargo, Alma Reber, and Aaron Marques known as Die Pinsel. Third came The Trojan Horse consisting of Dimitris Koumoutsakos, Katherine Schwartz, and Aksel Iberrakene.

The full rankings can be found here (with gold, silver, and bronze medalists indicated in the respective colors): Team Ranking, Individual Ranking

Congratulations to all on this successful tournament! We are looking forward to seeing you again for the International Young Physicists' Tournament in Zurich!
